Early Childhood Education-"Encouraging children to "planting an herb garden into an egg-Easter Project"



With Easter around the corner, there are many activities ;especially  science projects you can do with your  children at childcare, preschool or daycare? Why not plant herb seeds in an egg? Or even beans to create-"Jack in the beanstalk" lesson!  This an activity that children will enjoy and also a great fine motor activity!

What you need:
Empty Eggs
Soil
Herb seeds
2 Tbs of water

beans

Directions:
Fill 2/3 of the egg shell with soil, add 3 herb seeds, cover by sprinkling soil over seeds, water and set by a window. Water every four to five days.  To make it fun, you can also color/dye the eggs several days before

Early Childhood Education-"Encouraging children to "Make their own Shamrock Tree"

When it comes to art activities, children enjoy exploring with  markers, stencils and scissors.  This is a perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  A perfect project children can make at preschool, daycare or at home.
 
Materials needed:

-Glue stick, construction paper,newspaper, coffee filters,markers, spray bottle with green food coloring
